The PLA Air Conditioner Family combines powerful cooling in an elegant ceiling recessed cassette design. When installed, the attractive, flush mounted grille is all you see. With it’s center mounted return, ventilation air intake and individually adjustable, multi-direction air discharge, the PLA provides comfortable, uniform room comfort. The Cassette design provides a complete indoor unit package with supply, return, fan, filter, and ventilation in one unit.
Product Features:
Indoor Unit;
The low profile unit design of 10-1/4” depth for 12 to 30,000 BTU capacity and 11-3/4” depth on 36 to 42,000 BTU capacity units allows for mounting in many low or limited ceiling heights.
Removable corner pocket covers simplifies installation and maintenance. The four corner covers remove to expose installation adjustment for positioning and leveling. The pockets also allow access to the drain pan for easy cleaning. All functions available without removing the grille assembly.
A multi-speed fan provides controllable comfort through individually adjustable, wide angle air outlet vanes providing fewer drafts and greater overall cooling coverage. Select the speed that meets your need or let the AUTO speed select the right air flow automatically.
The aerodynamically shaped indoor blower is designed to move sufficient air volume with proper velocity to reach all points in the room while keeping sound levels extremely low. This allows application in library, classroom and board room situations without intrusive sounds.
An easy to maintain, long life, washable filter collects fine dirt and other particles keeping the room air clear. The filter provides approximately 2500 hours of use before cleaning is needed, depending on operation and room conditions.
Built-in drain lift mechanism lifts condensate 33-1/2 inches above ceiling level for simple disposal. A built-in condensate level sensor provides system shutdown in the event of lift device problems ensuring that no water leaks from the unit.
A 4” round Ventilation Air inlet located in a corner of the unit body allows for the introduction of outside air through the Cassette.
The unit is equipped with a Branch Duct connection for either 6” round or 4” X 14” rectangular ductwork for short duct runs to serve an additional small space.
The optional multi-function casement provides a second 4” round Ventilation Air inlet and allows mounting of an optional high performance air filter.
Outdoor Unit;
Inverter drive compressor, controlled by an on-board microprocessor, provides just the right amount of refrigerant flow to meet the system requirements with minimum energy consumption and maximum comfort.
Self-check diagnostics provide system analysis on start-up and display information if any malfunction occurs. System can restart automatically in the event of a power failure. All settings return to pre-failure position.
PLA Units provide low ambient cooling performance down to outdoor temperatures as low as 0° F. This feature is available on all of the P-Series family – requires optional WB Wind Baffle.
Low sound fan design and enclosed compressor provide very quiet operation of the outdoor unit.
Powder coated metal outdoor cabinet design provides years of reliable service. Cabinet mounting points meet or exceed the Florida “Hurricane” code for high wind load conditions.
The outdoor units are available in an corrosion resistant version (-BS Models) to provide extended life in coastal and similar adverse environments
Control:
A hard-wired, wall mounted controller comes standard all of the P-Series Equipment. The PAR-21MAA features multi-lingual display, easy to read temperature setting, mode selection (Fan-Off-Cool-Dry), fan speed control and system self-check diagnostics and error code display.
The PAR-21MAA provides complete ventilation control when a Lossnay® LGH Series Energy Recovery Ventilator is installed with a P-Series Mr. Slim HVAC System
A wireless hand-held remote controller is available for all of the PLA models with temperature setting, mode selection (Heat-Off-Cool-Dry), and fan speed control.
All of the PLA Models can be equipped with the Mitsubishi Electric i-see™ Sensor which, in addition to the room air sensor, measures the floor temperature in real time and provides the information for even more precise temperature control. The i-see™ Sensor measures radiant energy from the floor and walls during a 360° sweep of the room. Moving in five-second, 90° intervals, the sensor covers the entire room providing temperature information to the indoor unit microprocessor for integration into the system operating conditions providing maximum zone comfort.
